UNION CITY - Paul Weldon Norwood, 83, toll test board
operator for South Central Bell, died of heart failure
Wednesday at Union City Manor Nursing Center. Services will
be at 11 a.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home with
burial in Eastview Cemetery. He was a member of Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, the Memphis Telephone Pioneers, the
Masonic Lodge and Communications of America. Mr. Norwood,
the widower of Sue Cole Norwood, leaves a daughter, Paula
Sterling of Memphis; a son, Bill Norwood of Union City; a
sister, Claudine Heath of Kennett, Mo.; three brothers,
Ralph Norwood of Dyersburg, R.E. Norwood of Union City and
Wade Norwood of Prattville, Ala., and four grandchildren.5
