Final Rites Held on Thursday For Mrs. Lewis Jordan

Funeral services for Mrs. Opal Lee Jordan. former Carroll Countian and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R.E. Norwood of Huntington, were held at the Oak Church on Thursday afternoon of last week with the Rev. Fred Prince of Hollow Rock officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery with Dilday Funeral Home In charge. Mrs, Jordan died at Los Alamos, New Mexico on Sunday, Nov. 1 following a short illness. She had undergone an operation and was under treatment at the time of her death. Mr. and Mrs. Norwood had gone to New Mexico to be with their daughter three weeks prior to her death. Mrs. Jordan, who was 27, had been living in Los Alamos for the past two years. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors Include her husband, Lewis Jordan and one daughter, Brenda: her parents: two sisters. Mrs. Claudine Heath and Miss Letha Norwood of Kennett, Missouri: four brothers, - Paul Norwood of Union City, Wade Norwood with the air force at Columbus. Ohio. Raymond Norwood of Roanoke. Virginia, and Ralph Norwood with the air force at Washington. D. C., and several nieces and nephews.
