JESSE BOND OF DEERING DIES IN MEMPHIS HOPITAL Jesse Bond o f Deering died Wednesday, January 24, at the Baptist Hospit al in Memphis, Tenn., following an operation for a brain tu mor. He had been suffering for several months but had onl y been bedfast for the past ten weeks. Born in Carroll Coun ty, Tenn., Sept. 15, 1886, he came to Pemiscot County 43 ye ars ago and had been at Deering for the past 15 years wher e he was engaged in farming on a rather large scale, He wa s well known and liked and had a host of friends who will r egret to learn of his passing. Funeral services were held a t Deering with the Rev. George Spurting, pastor, and the Re v. Wilford House, Leadwood, Mo., a family friend, having ch arge of the service. Interment was made in Mt. Zion Cemeter y, near Steele. Mr. Bond is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sall ie Band, and one son, Otto Bond,, five grandchildren and a n aged mother, Mrs. S. E. Bond, all of Deering. He also lea ves two brothers, E. O. Bond, Bruceton, Tenn.. and O. M. Bo nd, Deering. Four sisters survive and they are Mrs. Minni e Robinson and Mrs. Vertie Jones of Bragg City, Mrs. Ethe l Ellis of Peach Orchard and Mrs. Pearlie Norwood of Buen a Vista, Tenn.1 5
