Foster Jack Norwood 71 of Rt 2, Deport; died at 6:45 p.m; Sunday in a Rockwall hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Leverett and Steele Chapel, Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery. Mr. Norwood was born. May 25, 1903, in Lamar County, the son of the late William W. Norwood and Florence Edna Allen. He married Willie Clay Young, Oct. 10,1923 in Blossom. He was a member of the Cunningham Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; one son, Bille Jack Norwood of 45-27th NE, where the family will be staying; three daughters, Mrs. Steve (Maurine) Womack of Rt. 2, Paris, Mrs. John (Claudia) Whitney of Rt. 2, Deport, and Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Smith of Rt. 2, Paris; two brothers, Elmer Norwood of Cunningham and Roscoe Norwood of Clarksville; two sisters, Mrs. John Montgomery of South Gate, Calif., and Mrs. Corene Marsman of Bogata; 10 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.1
